Dear Parents/ Carers,
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu…
We would like to thank all parents, staff and community for their excellent support during our very successful fund raising dinner, where our community pledges just over £27K. This will certainly help the school with the financial challenges it faces. By the grace of Allah SWT, we have also raised around 5K from other donations and ticket sales excluding expenses.
As you are aware, Ofsted came knocking on our door, at the start of the second week this term. After the report was published in November this year, we have lodged a formal complaint against the findings.
The entire report seemed perverse, to say the least, and did not reflect the reality at our school. Ofsted even failed to recognise our amazing KS2 SATs results in the Summer of 2017 where we beat the London average (6 percentage points higher than the rest of the country) by around 20 percentage points.
Our Nursery project is now just over 1 year old and is going from strength to strength. The school has invested in a lot of resources for the Early Years phase of learning. It was recently reported that strong Early Years learning, especially at Reception stage, is an indicator for good GCSE’s at age 16. We believe this to be true as many of our children have gone on to university and have successful careers now.
Please help us by informing your friends and relatives that we now take children from the age of three (3). Free government funding is available for 15 hours for all children and 30 hours for qualifying cases.
There is a lot more for you to enjoy reading about inside our new Autumn term Newsletter this year.
We hope you will enjoy it. Please share!
