An ex-student of A Muntada Primary kindly agreed to visit the school to speak about her job as a doctor. Dr. Seham Akkad explained to the children about her profession and how she helps people in the health care system called the National Health Service or the NHS.
She also demonstrated some health checks on children explaining why for example the knee-jerk response happens by using a special hammer on the knee cap.
Further to this, we got a visit from a paramedic on December, 10th explaining to our children what he does in his job. Paramedics don’t have it easy, but “as we help people we feel happy and rewarded”; this is how the Paramedic described his job.
